Trek in the foothills of Mount Rinjani, Indonesia's second highest volcano, and relax on an undiscovered beach.

Lombok is located east of Bali and one of the Lesser Sunda Islands. With a population of just under 4 million people, Lombok is an excellent place to spend a week relaxing on a quiet (or lively if you prefer) beach, trekking and visiting local villages. The island has become popular with honeymooners.

The highlight for many is the chance to trek in the foothills of Gunung Rinjani, Indonesia’s second highest volcano or take a few days and trek to the summit at over 3,700 metres. The views, sunrises and sunsets are incredible.

The island has many villages to visit, such as Senggigi, where locals still preserve their handicrafts, costumes and way of life.

Lombok has many relatively undiscovered, pretty beaches; Selong Belanak Beach in South Lombok is perhaps the prettiest.

Gili Islands off Lombok’s west coast are vehicle free, with coral reefs, stunning beaches and wildlife including turtles.
